Issue
When checking for updates you may get the error message:

Failed to find value in registry: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Liquid Studio 2017
Resolution
Please first try uninstalling the application from Windows Control Panel.
If this gives the same error, please re-run the old install for the exact version e.g. 14.x.x.x and it should allow you to uninstall the application.

As a last resort, you could use the Microsoft tool: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed
When the current application has been uninstalled, download the new application release and install as normal.
